About ME

Chris Kelly is a Canadian artist and musician currently based in Vancouver, BC. An incredibly versatile and talented musician, he has been part of a number of bands and projects over the years, as well as pursuing a solo career.
For the last few years, Chris has been one half of Velavox, formerly Kelly and Gibson, an award-winning pop duo whose music has received more than one million streams and been featured on MTV. Songs off of Velavox’s latest EP have resulted in the pair being semi-finalists at the 2020 Unsigned Only and the 2019 International Songwriting Competition. The group also has a successful YouTube channel, with almost one million views, where Chris and his partner, Nicole Gibson, post original music along with covers of popular songs.
Before moving to Vancouver, Chris was part of a Montreal-based Linkin Park cover band called Projekt Revolution. As the lead vocalist, he was tasked with singing the extraordinarily talented Chester Bennington’s parts. His time with Projekt Revolution pushed Chris and his vocal abilities and allowed him to explore a part of his voice he never knew existed. As a multi-instrumentalist, Chris has also had the opportunity to work with French artists such as Emile Bilodeau and Fred Fresh, as well as with other punk and rock bands.
Chris released his debut single as a solo artist in 2020 and has released several more over the last year and his most recent single, Bittersweet, was produced by Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park. Additionally, Chris streams on Twitch regularly, sharing his process for creating music with his followers.

Projects I've been apart of.

Projekt Revolution

Linkin Park cover Band

My friend Liam asked me to be apart of this cover band and sing Chester's parts. I know what your thinking, there's no way I sounded like him and your right but the challenge of singing these songs opened up a door for my voice that i never thought was there, it was probably the single most rewarding thing I did for my vocals .After moving to Vancouver they found a new singer and you can check them out here.

Pin Up

Pop Rock

Pin Up was one of my best friends band that I joined as a guitar player. It was one of the first times that I could just play guitar and not sing live and it was really a learning experience and a lot of fun.

Il always remember the tours and the nights dinking in a cold van. Good times.

They have now since changed they're name to Flara K, check out the beautiful duo HERE

Emile Bilodeau

French Artist

One of my favorite projects to be involved in was when I played lead guitar and did back vocals for my good friend Emile Bilodeau, what started out as a just me recording his first EP in my small studio led to a 2 year project with 3 friends that brought us from Fancofolie to Festival D'ete Quebec.

Fred Fresh

French Artist

I met Fred in Montreal after starting up a small home studio. Little did I know that our relationship would last for years. Sometimes you meet artist where in the studio it just feels right. Fred was one of those, check his stuff HERE

Headge/April Twenty Nine

Punk Rock/Alternative

Me(Right) and Simon (Left) played together for almost a decade, April 29 was a band that we started after failing multiple projects. The day we decided to do this together happened to be that date. Even after moving to Vancouver we still stay in contact and you can hear him on my latest song,  SOS
